Aug. 22, 2006 While UK is not a poetry site, I offer this rhythmic rant for perusal, and if one feel the need, rebuttal. As early as nineteen ninety-two anxious hawks red, white and blue clandestinely planned a birth to control the riches of mother earth Their hearts had dreamt of such an hour when there’d be but one superpower and seeking oil riches handsome required waging wars at random The “terror threat” frightens the nation the Government taps our conversations circumventing legislation An oil man—a figurehead drew cronies far and near to bed to again invade the desert sands bombing Iraq, Afghanistan A terror attack some say was feigned helped prolong King George’s reign all in the name of thwarting terror In reality, greed’s forebearer Bombs and bluster superfluous peace and power incongruous Rendon, Rice and Rumsfeld do us Amassing military debt battling fictional “nuclear threat” from Korean Sea to Persian Gulf Uncle Sam’s the big bad wolf As civil war and terror reigns and men’s ambitions leave bloodstains The real story behind the lies: Control the oil, thwart China’s rise Hence the war machine is primed and threats against the New York Times conceal the administration’s crimes The thirst for world rule is clear symbolized by Cheney’s sneer and Bush’s lies that filled the air: “They got nukes”; (We found nothing there) It’s all about world control for vultures lacking morals, souls they battle Koreans, Turks and Bedouins which will lead us all to Armageddon America never rights its wrong so a river of blood flows deep and long one thousand and six hundred furlongs… ------------ About the author: Timothy N.
