Apr. 27, 2006 In recent times, it has not been bed of roses for Nigerians due to various violence erupting in the country. First, it was the merciless, brutal and wicked killings of Christians in the Northern part of the country due to the cartoon of prophet Mohammed in far-away Denmark. The Christians too in the Eastern part of the country could not stomach the killings of their statemen so they retaliated. In less than a month over seven hundred people were reportedly killed. The constitution amendments programme of the Federal Government, just to increase the tenure of the present administration in the country is also another bottle of petrol that is about to explode. The situation of things down here is becoming tensed up. The Niger-Delta fightings and kidnapping of expatriates is another story for another day.
