 By Kaycee Nilson Apr. 14, 2006 Today I learned that Winnie The Pooh has his own star on the infamous “Hollywood Walk of Fame” on Hollywood Boulevard in Los Angeles. His friends, Tigger and Piglett where there to cheer him on. Small children clutched their beloved Pooh Bears as they gazed upon their favorite Disney character. But this doesn’t even compare to what happened in Chicago in March. A man who works for a law firm was standing on the platform and obviously a fan of Cheetos opened his bag and started to eat while waiting on the train to arrive. It was when he popped a Cheeto in his mouth in front of two Chicago Police Officers when he got a fine. The fine was $110. That’s a right folk, one hundred ten dollars for a Cheeto in the mouth. Our CTA doesn’t allow eating, drinking or playing of loud radios on the trains and the busses. I cannot count how many times I have stepped on the bus with a Starbucks’ coffee in my hand or a bottle of water. Yes doubting people, I have to take public transportation to the doctors and anywhere I need to go like therapy. I normally don’t watch the news stations because I cannot take the news out of Iraq qith so many of my friends there. But these two stories caught my eye this morning, Wednesday, April 12, 2006. The first because I am a HUGE Pooh Bear fan, I have a tattoo of Piglett on my hip. The second because I am guilty of doing the same thing. But normally I haven’t been fined because of the back brace. I think that I get preferential treatment because of that brace. I guess it’s because people here don’t know why I wear it, but they do catch on that I am a Disabled American. I’m keeping this short, because I want you to go over your rules of your city and see if you think that they are fair.
