Apr. 7, 2006 The court trial for Scooter Libber is heating up and fingers are rapidly pointing back to Bush. All along the way Bush has been a staunch supporter of punishing those who leak classified information. Could he be flip-flopping or trying to have it both ways? Either way, it is time that he (President Bush) comes clean for his lies and deception since getting approval from the Supreme Court to sit in the oval office and act as the leader of our country. America and American's deserve the truth! In an article by David Johnston and David Sanger of the NY Times dated 4/6/06 (“In Court Filings, Cheney Aide Says Bush Approved Leak“, www.nytimes.com) Scooter Libby told the court that Bush approved the intelligence leaks of classified information to bolster his support for the failing war with Iraq and his case against Saddam Hussein. And possibly Valerie Plame. Libby was supposed to leak that Iraq was actively seeking uranium. However, when sent to Niger to verify this account, Joseph Wilson (Valerie Plame's husband and former Ambassador, said it was highly unlikely that Iraq was trying to buy uranium from Niger. One week after this became public the White House released an unclassified document that was supposed to be the Bush version of his executive summary and thus his defense against these leaks. It appears to me that whenever they (the Bush Administration) get their tails caught in the fan they fabricate the next document to try and exonerate themselves. This sets a dangerous precedent and begins to smell. Democratic leader, Harry Reid (Nevada) wants Bush to admit his culpability in these leaks. He said “In light of today's shocking revelation, President Bush must fully disclose his participation in the selective leaking of classified information. The American people must know the truth!” How many more lies and cover-up's does America have to sit through and watch as this Administration continues to work outside of the law? Bush and his entire Administration present a perfect time for America to move toward impeachment. This impeachment process should clean out the offices of the President, Vice-President, and so on and so forth. This is such damning and wide-spread misuse and abuse of power that we should have a special election in the interim to run our government. Write or call your state representatives and tell them we must move now to impeach!
