Dec. 23, 2005 For those who have, I commend you for working so hard all your life to get the things you have. You get the things you love and surround yourself with them and everything is all well in your suburb home protected from the elements of life. For those that don't have for shame thinking you can get us to give you things. You must work for the things that you want but you just refuse to. Yeah, sure, you whine about losing your homes to fires and floods, but what does this have to do with us? For those that have, here is what to look for from those who have not. Look for their shoes. Their shoes tell you a lot about those people. I would never give a buck to a homeless man that is wearing better shoes then I have. Oh, the truly homeless need a helping hand but let the middle class help them. I have no time to help some little kid in some desolated land looking for a drink of milk. Sure you know I am kidding when I use my brand of sarcasm. The truly needy need our help and we give from the heart of course. But beware of the scam artists. These are the people that need a good thrashing. How dare they think to take the easy way out when we worked so hard to get where we are today? I am glad to help those in need of a helping hand. Those people would never ask for help. We just do for them because they deserve. It is that time of the year again when giving is better then receiving. For the ones that have more then enough, give a part of yourself. It won't break you at all to do something nice for others in need. For those who have just enough, give something of yourself that wont leave you stranded. For those that don't have to give, open your hearts, talk to someone that is lonely or play catch with the neighbors kid that doesn't have a dad to do that with. Giving is so great a feeling and it is a uplifting feeling. Don't let the few out there trying to take advantage of your kindness break your spirit. Be wise but keep an opened mind. If we fall into the trap of the con artist, shame on us for trying? No, I say shame on them for Conning. Time wounds all heels so when you see the pot outside the department store give a nickel, dime, quarter or a buck. It will indeed make someone's life out there a bit more stable. Have a happy holly daze. Lets all enjoy the gifts that life has to offer.
