Feng Shui Anyone?

By Judy Ramsook
Dec. 18, 2005

Sometimes you come across a bit of information that just astounds you, especially if you happen to know some one or some individuals whom the piece of information might effect. Like recently I was in a bookstore perusing some books as usual, when I came across something in a Feng Shui book.

According to what I had read, apparently it is not good to decorate one’s house or home with items he/she may have purchased down at the local Dollar store. Because it could have a negative effect on one’s well being, wealth and so on. At which point I was thankful that I had not been decorating anything with items purchased at a Dollar store.

But prior to perusing the piece of information, I thought nothing of it when I would hear some one say that they had bought whatever item from a Dollar store. Little did I think that the same item one could buy at another store for a much higher price could have a negative effect if it were probably made with inferior quality material and sold at a Dollar store for much less. Apparently there’s a price to pay for that inexpensive piece of merchandise one could have bought at the Dollar store as well. And it probably goes deeper than merchandise too.

Have you ever dated anyone who complained so much about the state of the economy and and his or her financial situation or lack of it, that by the time you arrived at say the movies, you were influenced into ordering the small drink as opposed to the medium or large?

This thought also entertained my mind after reading that bit in the Feng Shui book. Are some of us influenced by others who are in a less than happy state of affairs. And if we continue to keep their company, can not so good things start happening to us as a result?

I guess in order to find the answer, one would have to examine his or her life, his/her friends and so on. And yes, some depressed people can bring some people down because their negative energy is all around and in so doing can the merchandise one may purchase at the Dollar store. For sometimes, a too cheap an item can have its own negative elements as well. I guess you could say, in a way, cheap can talk back.
