Dec. 7, 2005 Vice President, Dick Cheney, is already under the magnifying glass for his conduct surrounding the CIA leak by his chief of staff, Scooter Libby. Before that, it was his role in the manipulation of pre-war data. What is he thinking? And why did he go out on a limb for Tom DeLay? In the State of Texas it is illegal to directly use corporate funds for political purposes. So what does Tom DeLay do? He funnels those funds to the RNC and then asks them (RNC) to issue the funds to the appropriate PAC's. How much money was funneled? According to most reliable sources, $190,000 this time around. Who knows how many more thousands he funneled prior to his indictment and what his corporate buddies got in return for their donations. He was not the only one to be caught with his hand in the till and after the New Year we should see how things pan out for him and his cohorts. Last evening there was a fundraiser for Tom DeLay spearheaded by Dick Cheney. The cost for this fete was between $500 and $4,200 and the media was forbidden. 200 supporters were slated to show. Many protesters held signs and chanted their thoughts about this untimely event. The central theme was that regardless of party the people want our government to act ethically and to uphold America's values above their special interest groups. I strongly concur! Bush even came out strong in his support for Tom DeLay. His support is most certainly conditional on Tom DeLay supporting him in his time of need-which is NOW. Why the secrecy and why the big show of support? I say they are coving up something much bigger. This Administration seems to think that they are above the law and that whatever they want they can and will get at any cost. That cost is the rights and freedoms of all American people. I think that if they had any scruples at all they would all resign and walk away with what little face they still have! If they fail to do this I believe the people should speak and ask for President Bush's impeachment! He has lied to and manipulated the people of the United States and the world for his own political gain. He has dolled out no-bid billion dollar contracts for the rebuilding of Iraq to his closest supporters. He lost (has no earthly idea where it is or what was done with it) billions of dollars during the first couple of years into this war...what more proof do we need to impeach? I implore you to contact your state congress people or representatives and let your voice resound-Impeach Bush!!!!! Impeach Cheney!!!! Convict DeLay!!!!! Convict Libby!!!
